SetFocus Bridging the Gap Scholarship Program
There continues to be a growing gap between the technical skill sets of college graduates and those required by employers in the market. The
SetFocus Bridging the Gap scholarship has been established to help bright, motivated recent graduates make the transition from college to the working world.
Why SetFocus

The .NET Master’s Program is designed to complement and enhance foundational knowledge with hands-on, practical experience in the technologies that companies are seeking.
More than a Scholarship
In addition to comprehensive technical education, the Master’s Program includes extensive career coaching and development where candidates learn personal marketing and job search strategies. Placement assistance is also provided and is a lifetime benefit for SetFocus alumni.

Who’s Eligible?
To be eligible for the Bridging the Gap scholarship, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
· U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States
· Have earned (or will earn) an Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010. (Documentation is required prior to awarding the scholarship)
· Meet the minimum technical qualifications for acceptance into the .NET Master’s Program
· SetFocus employees or members of their immediate families are not eligible.
Terms of Scholarship:
· One full scholarship to the .NET Master’s Program of $20,000 will be awarded and will cover tuition, course materials and equipment rental for the duration of the training period.
· Two partial scholarships to the .NET Master’s Program of $10,000 will be awarded and applied toward tuition.
· Scholarships are non-transferable.
· Scholarship recipients must enroll and attend the .NET Master’s Program within one year of receiving the scholarship.
· To attend training, recipients must have broadband internet access or live within reasonable commuting distance of the SetFocus facility in Parsippany, NJ.
· Void where prohibited
Application Information and Procedures - Deadline Extended to May 31, 2010
To apply, submit a completed Application online no later than May 31, 2010 at 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time. Limit one Application per person. Application must include name and contact information, and a brief, original, previously unpublished, written response to the question “Why do you believe you should be the recipient of the Bridging the Gap Scholarship and how will you use this training program to further your career?” Responses must be written in English with correct spelling and grammar and not exceed 500 words. No substitutions of new draft or corrected pages will be accepted once application has been submitted.
Technical Qualification for Acceptance
All eligible applicants must meet the minimum criteria for acceptance into the program which includes receiving passing scores on the following:
Assessment and Aptitude Test
Syntax Exam
Code Exercise
Technical Phone Interview
Selection of Scholarship Recipients
Scholarships will be granted on the basis of technical score, essay and personal interview. On or about June 30, 2010, a panel of judges will select the potential recipients. The potential recipients will be notified by email at which time he/she will be required to sign further documentation as explained below. SetFocus shall have no liability in the event notification is lost, intercepted or not received by the potential recipient for any reason.
Results for the recipients of the scholarship will be posted online by July 15, 2010.

Except where prohibited, by accepting a Scholarship Award, recipients agree that SetFocus may, without any limitations or compensation or notice, use his or her name, voice, for the purpose of advertising and promoting the website, the scholarship program.
